Two exciting opportunities available for an experienced economist or analyst to join a high performing and dynamic team based in Orange.
Senior Analyst – Clerk Grade 9/10
As a Senior Analyst you will manage and conduct the evaluation of programs using rigorous and credible methodologies, as well as applied economic research. You will also be responsible for providing guidance and advice to team members to assist with program evaluations. This role will contribute to evaluation-related activities undertaken by the Program Evaluation team and will represent the Department at policy forums and meetings where evaluation expertise is required to support reporting and decision-making processes.
To be successful in this role you will have a thorough understanding of evaluation processes and experience delivering insightful and practical economic analysis and advice. You will thrive in a fast-paced and high pressure environment and will be effective in managing your own workload to balance competing demands within tight timeframes. It is essential that you will be an excellent communicator, with strong problem solving skills and experience in quantitative and qualitative economic analysis. Tertiary qualifications in economics or a similar discipline will be highly regarded.
Analyst – Clerk Grade 7/8
As an Analyst you will undertake economic analysis and data research activities to assist in the planning, conduct and reporting of evaluations across the Department. You will contribute towards the design and robust evaluation of programs, as well as the ongoing development of evaluation methodologies to support evidence based policy and decision making in government.
To be successful in this role you will have demonstrated experience delivering insightful and practical economic analysis and advice to inform business and policy decision making. You will be an excellent communicator, with strong problem solving and analytical skills. You will be skilled at undertaking sound quantitative and qualitative economic analysis and will be capable of managing your own workload to meet competing demands within tight timeframes. Tertiary qualifications in economics or a similar discipline will be highly regarded.
