OPM Australia builds on OPM’s work across South and South East Asia and the Pacific, by deepening OPM’s engagement with public and private sector organisations in the region, including the Department for Foreign Affairs and Trade and the New Zealand Ministry for Foreign Affairs and Trade.
We have an exciting opportunity to join our Canberra based team as a Senior Consultant (Development Economist). This is a varied and interesting position for someone looking to join a small but growing team, where they can have a high impact.
You will lead OPM’s further entree into the DFAT and NZ MFAT evaluation and review market, and where appropriate the studies market, understanding these donors’ specific aid strategies and requirements across the region. Within this collaborative environment, you will share good contextual understanding and expertise from working in the Pacific, and South and South-East Asia, that can help OPM unlock opportunities in the region. You will have the responsibility of providing technical guidance and academic rigour on evaluations and research studies, to both OPM Australia’s multidisciplinary team and OPM’s regional offices in Indonesia and Myanmar. Once the pipeline of work in these areas has grown, you will have the opportunity to build a small, dynamic and responsive team.
