M&E House provides specialist performance management services to the Australian Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT) and their partners in Timor-Leste, ensuring they are equipped with evidence and capacity to continually improve decision-making. M&E House is funded by DFAT in Timor-Leste and implemented by GHD Pty Ltd, in association with Clear Horizon Pty Ltd. M&E House contributes to Australia’s development program in Timor-Leste by ensuring that DFAT is equipped with evidence and capacity to continually improve decision-making and tell a clear results story, and that implementing partners generate and use evidence to learn, adapt, and produce user-focused reports.
Australia's Governance for Development (GfD) Program supports Government of Timor-Leste agencies to develop and implement evidence-based policy and laws, and improve government systems. It also helps civil society engage with government decision making. The Australian Embassy in Timor-Leste has commissioned a review of the GfD Program (Program Review), which will consider the effectiveness, relevance, appropriateness, efficiency and gender equality outcomes of the GfD Program (Phase I and II). The Program Review results will be used to strengthen the current program, and inform the design of any potential future Australian investments in this sector. A review team will be contracted to undertake the GfD Program Review.
