Principal Project Officer, Evaluations

The Department of Education is looking for an evaluator experienced in designing and conducting evaluations for person oriented programs or projects as part of the Talent Unit, Human Resource Branch.
Ideally you will have both theoretical understanding and practical experience in designing and conducting evaluations for person oriented programs or projects within fields such as Education and Human Resources.
Your experience is broader than the clinical application of skills and you are comfortable working within a changeable environment. In consultation with an evaluation committee, you are able to devise an evaluation approach and plan which is fit for purpose and rigorous, but realistic considering real world practical constraints. In addition to the usual interpersonal skills, you have the ability to quickly engender confidence and trust from people representing diverse backgrounds and perspectives.
You are probably a member of the Australian Evaluation Society or similar professional monitoring, evaluation and performance measurement group, keeping up to date with emerging approaches to evaluation and data collection and analysis methods.
