Senior Adviser, Research, Evaluation and Translation

The role will support the establishment of the strategic research and evaluation structures and systems at Respect Victoria that will generate the organisation’s knowledge base and inform policy and campaign directions for the primary prevention of all forms of family violence and violence against women.
The successful candidate will:
- have a demonstrated track record of managing academic research and evaluation projects in or with higher education institutions in family violence and/or violence against women, or a closely related field
- have a strong knowledge of research methodology, including quantitative research experience and be able to demonstrate how their research was used to inform policy or program design and the mechanisms used to achieve this level of research impact
- an understanding of primary prevention as a public health approach
- be accountable for research contract management
- be responsible for identifying, managing and where necessary escalating emerging risks and urgent issues
- be able to provide efficient and effective liaison with stakeholders and represent Respect Victoria in a professional manner
- provide specific guidance and practical advice about how our organisation can support the self-determination of Aboriginal Victorians and an articulated approach to intersectionality.
