Specialist adviser position to contribute to long term education development in Kiribati (Pacific)
- 12 month contract with short term periodic inputs. Up to 140 input days in Kiribati.

The Program
On behalf of the Australian Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade Coffey is managing the delivery of support and technical assistance to the Kiribati Ministry of Education (MoE) as part of the Kiribati Education Improvement Program (KEIP) Phase III. We support the MoE in implementing a comprehensive reform program focused on children in Kiribati having access to inclusive, quality basic education. This includes a large infrastructure component that includes new or upgraded classrooms, school facilities, fencing, water and sanitation facilities and rainwater collection.
The Position
The Monitoring and Evaluation Adviser is responsible for ongoing implementation of the KEIP III M&E system and will work collaboratively with stakeholders to provide information and analysis on progress against all elements of program support and to contribute to program decision making. The Adviser will develop and implement tailored tools and processes to track and report on information against the targets and indicators in the M&E Framework and will provide M&E mentoring and training to KEF and MoE teams.
The Person
The ideal candidate will be tertiary qualified, preferably with post-graduate qualifications in evaluation and will demonstrate practical experience in implementing monitoring and evaluation frameworks and data management systems on large programs. Experience developing effective gender appropriate and inclusive M&E tools and processes will be required, as well as excellent skills in undertaking analysis and preparing outcomes-based reports for stakeholders. Previous experience coaching and mentoring professional colleagues from different social and cultural backgrounds is required for success and experience working in the Pacific is desirable.
