Consultant / Research Assistant - Permanent Full Time position

The opportunity
We have an exciting opportunity available within our International Aid Effectiveness team and are seeking a dynamic, intelligent and motivated individual at the early stage of their career. Ideally we are seeking a Consultant however for the right person we will consider a Research Assistant, providing you with mentoring and support as you progress your career to Consultant.
As this is a new position, we are open minded to the level of expertise you may bring.
In this role you will be responsible for supporting the Aid Effectiveness team to deliver a range of services to clients related to organizational and program design, monitoring and evaluation.
You will be the perfect complement to our team, with competencies in primary research, delivering monitoring and evaluation systems and quantitative analysis and impact, you will also have the following skills:
- At least 3 years work experience preferably in the international development (desirable to have experience working in a consultancy role at C2 rate within the Australian Aid Remuneration Framework)
- Experience in research and mixed methods evaluation, with demonstrated skills in quantitative methodologies
- Experience in developing and implementing monitoring and evaluation systems including impact evaluations
- Strong written communication and report writing skills
- Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills, including experience in participating in delivery of workshops
- Flexibility to travel on a regular basis, including overseas
