NSW DPI (a division within the NSW Department of Industry) is focused on delivering integrated, innovative programs and projects that grow and sustain not only our primary industries sector but also communities and economies across the state.

The STBIFM program is a $111 million Commonwealth funded program aimed at modernising farm irrigation systems and improving the long-term sustainability of regional communities. It does this by subsidising activities that enable irrigators to maintain or improve productivity and adapt to the Murray Darling Basin Plan. The program commenced on 4 June 2012 and is currently scheduled to conclude no later than 30 June 2019.

In your role as Evaluation Officer, you will undertake the collection and analysis of quantitative and qualitative research and evaluation data, provide detailed analysis for reporting and develop key findings and recommendations for program improvements. This is a great opportunity to work on a program which is aimed at delivering significant outcomes and making a difference in water sustainability within the Murray Darling Basin.

You will be someone with a keen eye for detail, and be able to identify and solve problems. You will work both autonomously and collaboratively as part of a regionally located team, and be able to deliver work within required timeframes. Someone who can develop strong professional relationships with stakeholders, interpret complex data and manage multiple tasks at the same time will succeed in this role.

You’ll have demonstrated program evaluation experience as well as previous experience reporting on evaluation results and/or writing evaluation reports. You will also have qualitative and quantitative data research and analysis skills, and experience providing technical and evaluative advice to others.

If you are passionate about evaluation and have the skills and experience we are looking for, then we want to hear from you! To apply please attach a current resume (of no more than five pages) plus a one-page cover letter which demonstrates how your previous experience would be suitable and of benefit to this role.

Closing Date: Applications must be submitted electronically via the online application process by Saturday 9th June 2018 @ 11:55 pm

Enquiries: For further information about the role and your application please contact Michael Grabham, Leader Sustaining the Basin on 0427 107 054 or Michael.grabham@dpi.nsw.gov.au
